STOP STANSTED EXPANSION'S COMMUNITY CALENDAR 2007 IS LAUNCHED

The 2007 Community Calendar produced in aid of Stop Stansted Expansion is now on sale at 30 shops and thousands of doorsteps across the region courtesy of an army of 50 volunteer sellers.

Now in its fifth year, the Community Calendar has become an established part of life for many people in the parts of Essex and Hertfordshire that surround Stansted Airport. It features photos of this attractive area, selected from work submitted by a growing number of local photographers.

This year, 13 new locations are featured on the calendar's pages, each displaying three lovely, high quality photographs:  These include:

Cover:Horham Hall, on the border of Thaxted and Broxted
January:Burton End
February:Matching and Matching Green
March:Horham Hall
April:Ugley and Ugley Green
May:Ashdon and Church End
June:Littlebury
July:Little Dunmow
August:High Roding and Aythorpe Roding
September:Standon
October:Brent Pelham
November:Birchanger
December:Lindsell
January 08:Gestingthorpe (the first month of the New Year is included to help with the transition to the following year's Community Calendar)

Priced just £6, the full colour, A3 calendar provides a powerful daily reminder of the communities, countryside and heritage threatened by expansion plans for the airport.

Last year, the combined proceeds from the Community Calendar and Christmas Card sales contributed £30,000 to SSE's fighting fund.

The Calendars can also be ordered by post for UK and overseas mailing at a small extra charge to cover postage and packing.  For further information, details of sales points and online order forms see this website or call the SSE Campaign Office on 01279 870558.

PICTURE CAPTIONS

They have vowed to keep producing and selling the Community Calendar – now in its fifth year – for as long as it takes to defeat BAA's plans for massive expansion at Stansted Airport.
