STANSTED AIRPORT NOISE ACTION PLAN
BAA has recently (summer/autumn 2009) consulted on the draft Noise Action Plan for Stansted Airport, as required by law. This sets out its proposals for managing the airport's noise impacts over the next five years. Stop Stansted Expansion has responded to this consultation which closed on 2 October.
After analysis of the responses, BAA says that "where we can, we will take onboard the comments" and then revise the plans before submitting them to the Department for Transport at the end of November for review and recommendation to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on whether the plans should be adopted.
