WRITING LETTERS |
Whilst the Government's public consultation has ended and Government policy has been set out in the December 2003 White Paper, the battle is far from over. The Government has passed the problems of implementing airport expansion to the airport operators, principally BAA, but many fundamental issues remain.
Aviation continues to contribute to global warming, continues to inflict increasing damage on the UK tourism industry and balance of payments, and threatens to destroy life as we know it for miles around Stansted airport.
If you are unhappy with any of these or other issues, you should write to your MP, one or more of your MEPs and also key Government Ministers. See also District and County Council contacts.
See some Residents' Letters.
See also Writing to the Press which is an important part of the campaign.
