MY COUNTRY VALENTINE
by Bob Jones
English Countryside: be mine!
Be my pretty Valentine,
Please stay pure and true to me,
Beautiful for all to see.
Stansted Airport: beware!
Keep your greedy hands off her,
Don't ravish and defile what's mine,
Don't corrupt my Valentine.
You don't love her natural charm.
You would only do her harm;
Abandon her: tarnished, tainted,
You would leave her body wasted.
Bullying commercialists: be gone!
Go! Leave my English rose alone.
I'll defend her honour dearly
With my English heart sincerely.
