FEELINGS FROM THE HEART

I have to complain
It's got to be said
The Stansted expansion is WRONG
Where I live is beautiful
The runways are too long
The trees and the fields
The birds and the beasts
Are all part of my childhood
To take this away
To concrete my life
The prospects aren't good
I do use the airport
It's well run, I can't deny
But to say I want even more planes
Sorry that's a lie
It just too sad that so many homes
Will be crushed and trashed
The government are never happy
Their decisions far too rash
So take heed
And listen well
This shouldn't go ahead
If it does the life and soul
Of Essex will be dead
