FROM THE HEART
by Dimitri Komissarov
"BAA, black sheep,
What is all this fuss?"
"Stansted's going to expand,
It's good for all of us."
"Whoa there, black sheep,
I don't see nothin' good.
To do it, they'll be tearin' down
The whole bloody neighbourhood.
This lovely scenery, the homes
We've built to our own taste -
They'll dig it up and pull them down,
It'll be one awful waste."
"So what! - says BAA. - You know
You're arguing in vain.
You'll bloody well get paid for it,
No reason to complain."
But after all, there are some things
That money cannot buy;
As much as we like aeroplanes,
We have to draw the line.
In England old there was a time
When sheep forced out the men;
Well, thanks to BAA, it seems
Those times are back again.
So let us stand together now
Our neighbourhood to keep,
And fight against this company
That's run by stupid sheep.
******
But if we lose, we'll make them pay
For all the damage, though.
BAA, black sheep,
Have you any dough?
