The Department for Communities and Local Government is proposing a review of planning policy, designed to consolidate policy statements, circulars and guidance documents into a single new National Planning Policy Framework. SSE and others are concerned that elements of what is being proposed could, in some cases, result in decreased environmental protection in some cases.
