BAA'S CONSULTATION ON A POSSIBLE SECOND RUNWAY

Stop Stansted Expansion immediately signalled its outright opposition to BAA's proposed second runway since - whatever its position - a second runway would be an unprecedented environmental catastrophe - locally, regionally and globally without economic justification. We also condemned BAA for issuing hundreds of thousands of blatantly misleading consultation packs which failed to include details of new flight paths, road and rail schemes and health and environmental impacts as if they were irrelevant to the siting proposals.
